The SDI Convertible Cleaning System is the most economical cleaning solution to effectively meet all of the cleaning needs in a dairy plant.
Fully automated systems available.
Typical CIP systems use two, three, or even four dedicated tanks that hold rinse and wash solutions. These tanks can range in size from 100 gallons to greater than 300 gallons. Most CIP systems have a fresh water tank, an alkaline tank, an acid tank, and a reclaim tank in addition to a complex series of pumps and piping that supply and return wash solutions and rinses to and from the equipment being washed in place. They also have a heat supply and a programmer that controls all of the pumps, heat, valves, and chemicals. Conventional CIP systems are set up to use up to 6 cleaning steps.
The SDI System eliminates the acid (in some cases alkaline) wash and the subsequent rinse. SDI streamlines the CIP process to 4 steps.
Typical COP systems use a dedicated tank for storing and recirculating a wash solution to clean production equipment that is disassembled and placed in that tank. These tanks typically have a heat supply, a pump, and associated lines for recirculation which enhance the cleaning process. These tanks can range in size from 20 gallons up to, and even greater than, 2000 gallons. In conventional systems, the COP wash solution is made up daily and discarded daily.
With the SDI System, wash solution can be reclaimed from day to day and maintain effective cleaning with only a 10-20% daily make up. SDI eliminates the acid wash and associated post wash rinse, saving time, energy and chemicals.
